WHAT IS THE SAINT BASIL PRAYER LINE HOLY TRANSFIGURATION PRAYER COMMUNITY

TODAY: We are a group of over 1000 people who are committed to daily prayer for the needs and intentions of the Saint Basil Prayer Line. Anyone who is willing to pray daily in a spirit of humility and trust is welcome to join. There is no need for Prayer Line members to make or receive any phone calls. In a spirit of humility and surrender we are not aware of exactly whom we are praying for, although all these intentions are faithfully and attentively recorded in the official Prayer Line book. These intentions are known by God who knows each individual’s needs, loves every one of us, and calls each one by name. Since 1998 we have received thousands of requests for prayer. God has blessed us abundantly, and our membership continues to grow.

BACKGROUND: The Saint Basil Prayer Line officially began on August 6, 1998 on the Feast of the Transfiguration, at a Divine Liturgy attended by over 150 people from various ministries attached to Saint Basil Salvatorian Center. This feast day was chosen to inaugurate the Prayer Line, as it is the patronal feast of the Basilian Salvatorian Fathers who staff the center. ‘Holy Transfiguration’ was chosen as the name of our group in the hope that all will experience the transfiguration light, healing, and life of Jesus Christ, our transfigured Lord and Savior.
